Is it Safe for My Child to be Treated by a Chiropractor?

Yes! Children are safely and successfully treated daily all over the world with chiropractic care. Chiropractors use a specific and gentle approach with children. Most children require only a few treatments to resolve the issues because they tend to respond much quicker to chiropractic treatments. The risk of a child suffering a permanent injury from a spinal manipulation is extremely rare.

Why Would My Child Need Chiropractic Care?

Kids are very active and tend to experience numerous falls and bumps and bruises daily. This is even more true with children who participate in sports. These injuries can cause back and neck pain, stiffness, soreness and general discomfort for the child. Your chiropractor can correct the child’s spinal alignment which will improve their overall health. Misaligned vertebral joints can affect the muscles and nerves and spinal adjustment relieves nerve pressure and restores motion.

Even the process of being born can be hard on an infant. Spinal manipulation is used with newborns as an alternative treatment for colic and other digestive disorders.

Many parents today are seeking alternative health care for their children as treatment for many chronic childhood issues. Chiropractic care can treat a wide range of conditions associated with the nervous and musculoskeletal systems. It is noninvasive and drug-free

Chiropractic care can potentially help a whole host of ailments- from headaches and earaches to upper respiratory infections and sleep disorders. There are some professionals who claim chiropractic care can even help treat the symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Integration Dysfunction, and ADHD.

This is so very true. All four of my kids are under chiropractic care. They love it and I love it.

Kids and adults should all be checked by a chiropractor! I have helped more kids than I can comment on and love to see them enter the office.
